What you could work on
A Machine Learning Intern may support the development and evaluation of models that learn patterns from data to make predictions or support decisions. Potential tasks include preparing datasets, selecting relevant features, training baseline models, comparing evaluation metrics, and documenting experimental results. Depending on the project, interns could explore supervised or unsupervised learning using Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. They may also gain exposure to model validation, overfitting, data quality, and the challenges of applying experimental models to practical problems. This role helps students develop skills in machine learning workflows, experimentation, analytical thinking, and model evaluation.
